My sister graduated from nursing school! Woohoo! After earning her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Jennie enrolled in the accelerated BSN program through Azusa Pacific University. 15 grueling months later, she was pinned and accepted her diploma. If you are curious about what exactly a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) is, the descriptions on RN to BSN do a good job of explaining what is involved in a BSN education. Now that she has her diploma, her dream is to work with veterans or become a transport nurse in helicopters. She’s set to take the NCLEX next month and I know she’ll make one heck of a nurse. We’re so proud of you, Jennie!

My mother hosted the party and my family had a blast setting up and enjoying each others company. Shannon captured everything on camera and I had a lot of fun putting together a simple dessert station. Our family has a great sense of humor so I HAD to use some novelty items as a shout out to Jennie’s journey. Sour lemon “urine” samples, cherry blood bags, chocolate band-aids, and lollipop bones made quite the conversation piece. We definitely had a few laughs. Vanilla Bake Shop provided meyer lemon raspberry and chocolate vanilla bean mini cupcakes, dirt cake dessert shots, and THE yummiest raspberry chocolate cake. How cute is the fondant stethoscope, pills, and band-aid!?!

No need to be squeamish…it’s all edible!

Hey I am graduating this May and I love what you did with all these decorations! where did you get them? I’m trying to plan my party but I can’t seem to find stuff like this!

The backdrop was made out of red balloons and we found a vintage nurse Barbie doll on Amazon. Some of the paper pieces came with her. I made the pill bottles out of empty containers and our own sticker labels. You can find most of the candy at candywarehouse.com We’ll also be offering a nursing party pack when our online store launches in the next few months. Hope that helps!
